People looking for lawn care usually aren’t browsing for fun. The grass is too tall, the house is about to be listed, or there’s snow in the driveway. They search, tap a couple of results, and call whoever makes it easy.

We kept that in mind on the new website for Gump’s Mow N Go in Little Chute.

Who Gumps is

Forrest Belanger Sr. owns Gump’s Mow N Go and has been taking care of lawns for more than 12 years. He covers homes and businesses in Little Chute, Kimberly, Combined Locks, Kaukauna, Appleton, Menasha, Neenah, Sherwood, and nearby Fox Valley neighborhoods. Weekly mowing, trimming, edging, fall cleanup, snow removal, and monthly or yearly contracts.

Start with how the owner works

Early on, I sent Forrest a questionnaire. He sent back handwritten answers. The one that shaped the site most was simple: he books work by phone. No booking app, no long form.

So the site doesn’t try to be clever. The phone number is at the top of every page. On a computer there’s a Call for a quote button in the header. The contact page says call or text, and on a phone one tap dials him.

A lot of lawn care websites bury the number or push a form nobody checks. If the owner answers the phone, put the phone first.

Show everything you do

Forrest wanted people to land on the site and see that Gump’s does it all. That matters for a lot of lawn care businesses. Customers know you mow. They might not know you trim hedges, edge walkways, pick up leaves, or clear snow in the winter. If it isnt on the site, they call somebody else for it.

The services page splits residential and commercial, so a homeowner and someone who runs a storefront or shared property can both find their list fast.

Say where you work, plainly

Google needs to know where you work, and so do people. The site lists the towns and ZIP codes Gump’s covers. The main pages name Little Chute and the Fox Valley in their titles and descriptions. The previous work section shows real jobs by town: a weekly mow in Little Chute, a cleanup in Appleton before listing photos, and a spring cut in Kaukauna.

It also links to his Google Business Profile, so his website and his spot on Google Maps point people to the same business. That’s the local SEO basics without stuffing keywords everywhere.

Let neighbors do the talking

Reviews carry more weight than anything an owner says about himself. The site shows Google reviews from real customers, including one from a guy who watched someone from Gump’s stop and help two neighbors clear snow off their apron. You can’t write copy that beats that.

Make it work on a phone

Most of these searches happen on a phone, sometimes standing right in the yard. The Gump’s site stacks cleanly on mobile, the text stays readable, and the menu is short: About us, Services, Previous work, Contact us.

How it came together

Forrest first came to us for hats, then shirts. The website grew out of that. We talked through what he needed, planned the pages around his answers, made changes along the way, and got it live. The site and domain are now in his own accounts, which is how it should be. It’s his business.

You don’t need anything fancy. You need your services spelled out, the towns you cover, real reviews, photos of real jobs, and a phone number people can reach fast. Get those right and your site does its job while you’re out on the mower.
