Hoodie season in the Fox Valley is long. How to pick a crew hoodie people will wear, choose print or embroidery, and get sizes sorted, plus why Quick Transport went bright.

Every fall it goes the same way. The first cold morning hits, and your crew shows up to a job in Kaukauna or a route in Neenah wearing whatever hoodie they grabbed off the hook. One is faded. One has a sports logo on it. One still has the name of the last company they worked for. Nobody looks like they work together.
A good crew hoodie fixes that, and in Wisconsin it gets worn a lot longer than a T-shirt does. From October to April, the hoodie is the thing people actually see.
Here is what I would tell any Fox Valley owner before ordering hoodies this fall: how to pick one your crew will wear, when to go with print or embroidery, how to get sizes sorted without chasing people, and where NobleWorks fits.
Why hoodies are worth it for a crew
T-shirt season around here is short. Hoodie season is long. If you are going to put your name on one piece of crew gear for the cold months, this is the one that gets the most wear.
A few other reasons hoodies make sense:
More room for your logo. You get a left chest spot and a full back. The M&N Garage hoodie has a small round wrenches logo on the front and a big full-color graphic on the back.
People see your crew's backs. On a roof, at a jobsite, or pushing a mower, the back of the hoodie is what the neighbors see. A clean back print with your name and number keeps working all day.
It works for more than the crew. The same hoodie can go to front desk staff, family, customers you want to thank, or your own merch table at a local event.
Color can help on the job. A bright neon yellow hoodie, like the Quick Transport one at the top of this post, stands out on a roadside or in a yard far more than a black one.
Why Quick Transport went bright
The neon yellow hoodie at the top of this post was made for QuiCK Transport, a flatbed and heavy haul trucking company based in Kaukauna. They haul oversized loads to any US or Canadian destination, store specialty machinery, and have a brokerage team for last-minute freight. Their website says every load they haul is different and complex, and that they pride themselves on long-lasting relationships.
They were an awesome company to work with. For a crew that spends the day around big trucks and heavy loads, bright is a smart choice. A neon yellow hoodie is easy to spot in a busy yard, and the bold back print puts their name everywhere the crew goes.
Pick a hoodie your crew will actually wear
The best logo in the world does nothing if the hoodie sits in a truck because it's itchy or fits weird. Before you pick a design, pick the garment.
Weight. A lighter hoodie is easier to layer and move in. A heavier one is warmer for guys standing outside all day. Think about who is wearing it and where.
Pullover or zip. Pullovers give you a clean front and a big pocket. Zips are easier to get on and off in a truck and over other layers.
Fit. Have a couple of people try sizes before you order for the whole crew. Sizing runs different from one hoodie to the next.
Color. Dark colors hide dirt and grease. Bright colors are easier to spot. Gray shows sweat and stains more than most people expect.
I'm happy to help with this part. It's usually where the order goes right or wrong.
Print or embroidery?
There is no single right answer. It depends on the logo, how many you need, and what the hoodie is for.
Screen printing
Screen printing is a great fit when you have the same design going on a bunch of hoodies, especially big back prints in a few solid colors. It holds up well to washing and rough work.
DTF transfers
DTF transfers handle full-color logos, small details and gradients without needing a separate screen for every color. They work well for smaller runs or busy designs.
Embroidery
Embroidery looks sharp on a left chest and lasts. It's a good pick for office staff, sales folks and anyone who meets customers face to face. It's not the best choice for a huge back design.
Mix them
A lot of crews do both: embroidered logo on the front, printed name and phone number on the back. You get a clean look up close and something people can read from the street.
Getting sizes sorted without chasing everyone
This is the part nobody likes. You send a group text asking for sizes, half the crew answers, and then someone wants a zip instead.
Two easy ways to handle it:
A simple size list. For a small crew, one list with names and sizes is fine. Order one or two extras for new hires so you're not placing a one-hoodie order in January.
A free online store. We can set up a custom online store for your crew at no charge. Everyone uses the same link, picks their items and sizes, and places their own order. Each person can pay for their own, or we can bill your company. When the store closes, we make everything together and deliver it as one batch. It works well for crews in Little Chute, Kimberly, De Pere or anywhere else in the Fox Valley where people aren't all in the same place at the same time.
One more tip: reach out early. Fall is when everyone wants hoodies, so the sooner you start, the sooner your crew is warm.
Where NobleWorks fits
Your whole crew setup in one place. Hoodies, leather patch hats, engraved tumblers and engraved metal business cards, all with the same logo and the same person keeping it consistent.
The gear and the online side, together. We also do websites, Google Business Profile and follow-up for local businesses. When your crew gets new hoodies, those photos can go right onto your website and Google listing so the gear keeps working for you after it's delivered.
You talk to the owner. I'm a local firefighter and I run NobleWorks myself. You get straight answers on what will work and what won't.
No Minimums. We handle practical runs for small crews, teams and local businesses, not just big orders.
Made in Appleton. Everything is printed, embroidered or laser engraved right here.
Quick fall hoodie checklist
Before you order, have answers to these:
Who is wearing it: field crew, office, customers, or all three?
Pullover or zip, and what weight?
Color that fits the job (dark for dirt, bright for visibility)
Front logo, back print, or both?
Print, embroidery, or a mix?
How you will collect sizes: a list or an online store
A couple of extras for new hires
Ready to get your crew warm and looking like a team?
Whether you run a lawn crew in Neenah, a trades company in Green Bay, or a small team in Kaukauna, I'll help you pick the right hoodie and the right way to put your logo on it.

Great experience overall. I brought in a few of my own designs and they also helped create one from scratch, and everything turned out exactly how I hoped. They were upfront about timing, kept me in the loop, and delivered when they said they would. Pricing was actually better than the big online companies, and it felt good supporting a local business instead. I’ll definitely be coming back for future projects.
